Christmas Party Opening Remarks

Mayad gid nga aga sa tanan!

Ma’am Rosalie Legaspi, Ms. Abarro, my fellow parents and Grade I-SSC pupils, thank you for your presence today. Thank you for your cooperation especially during the preparation for this party. Let us all enjoy our activities today.

I will not take very long so that we can readily start the games, dancing, eating, exchanging of gifts, and we can sing again.

Let us just remind ourselves that in the midst of all these decorations and celebrations, let us put to mind always the main reason why we are spending so much time, effort and money with all these. Christmas is not so much about what gifts Santa Claus has prepared for us; what gift our Mama and Papa/ Tatay and Nanay/ Mommy and Daddy have to give us; what our brother or sister and our friends have secretly wrapped for us. As Ichiro mentioned in the prayer, all other things like exchanging of gifts are just bonus. The main reason is actually to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, the Son of our God, who came to the world because God loves us all very much. Again, Christmas is actually about the Birthday of Jesus.

So, Grade I-SSC pupils, will you please raise your hand? Thank you. What is the main reason again why we celebrate Christmas? How about my fellow parents, what is the main reason why we celebrate Christmas? So, everybody, let us greet Jesus a Happy Birthday.

Okay. With that, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a New Year full of Hope and Opportunities!

Let us all have fun in our celebration today. Madamu gid nga SALAMAT!

Celebrating Christmas 2008

these pictures were taken last December 25, 2008 at Pilapil's residence, Brgy. Lamsogod, South Cotabato. It was also JC's 11th birthday. so, we prepared a lot of foods. spaghetti pa lang nabusog na kami. there are several other pics that will be uploaded soon. these include the continuation of these pics, during Christmas eve, during my debut and during the 1st day of the year 2009!
